Every stage sold out in record time

A brand strong enough that Caterpillar, STIHL and ATCO signed up. Industrial property is a tough sell on brand alone. Buyers are pragmatic — they want specs, location, and price. But the developer knew that a strong brand would attract stronger tenants, faster. They were right.

CLIENT: Empire Industrial Estate — Yatala, Gold Coast

SCOPE: Logo & brand identity, print collateral, signage, site maps, website

THE CHALLENGE: Create a brand for a new industrial estate that commands respect from day one — the kind of brand that serious industrial operators recognise as a serious operation. The reference point was clear: think CAT, think STIHL, think TOUGH. Bold. Utility-driven. Built to last.

Brand Identity

Industrial brands earn trust through consistency and confidence — not decoration. The Empire identity was built on that principle. Bold typography, a strong mark, a colour system that works across a warehouse-scale sign and a business card without losing authority.

The name did half the job. Our role was to make sure the visual identity lived up to it.

This wasn’t a one-and-done brand job. Empire needed an identity system robust enough to stay consistent and credible across a multi-year, multi-stage development — without needing a redesign every time a new stage launched.

Print Collateral & Site Maps

In property sales, the collateral IS the product until the slab is poured. Brochures, stage maps, and sales materials had to make undeveloped land feel like a certainty — communicating scale, opportunity, and credibility to buyers making serious investment decisions.

Every piece carried the same brand weight. Nothing looked like it was thrown together. When a prospective tenant picked up an Empire brochure, it felt like the estate was already built.

Signage

Signage at scale is where industrial branding either holds up or falls apart. Empire’s signage system was designed to work from the highway down to the site entrance — bold enough to be read at speed, consistent enough to build recognition across every stage of the development.

Website

The website had one job: convert interest into enquiry. Clear stage information, site maps, location details, and a brand presentation that matched the ambition of the development. Tenants like Caterpillar and STIHL don’t lease from operations that look amateur — the website made sure Empire never did.

The Result

Every stage sold out in record time across a multi-year rollout. As each new stage launched, the brand had to keep performing — attracting major industrial operators including Caterpillar, STIHL, ATCO, and COPE Sensitive Freight at every turn. Brands that don’t put their name on just anything.

The development received coverage on both 9 News and 7 News Gold Coast. A brand built for the long game — and it delivered at every stage.

“The brand work extended to TSG Australia, Empire’s parent company — where an embossed business card design took out a print industry award.”
