One name for two very different clinics.
CLIENT: AOVO: Clinical Trials & Specialist Infusion Clinic
SCOPE: Naming & master brand positioning, visual identity, website design & build (SEO + health advertising compliance review), photography, stationery (letterhead & business cards), office signage
STATUS: Website in development. Stationery live.
THE CHALLENGE: AOVO needed medical brand architecture, not another logo. One division already had years of runway: a clinical trials unit with a growing list of sponsors and the same nephrologists and coordinators referring doctors had always worked with. But it operated under South Coast Renal’s name, tied to a kidney clinic’s identity rather than its own work. A new specialist infusion clinic was launching alongside it, with no name of its own either. Two clinical services, one chance to give them an identity that could carry both, trade on trust already earned, and read as established from day one rather than newly stitched together.
Name & Positioning
AOVO sits above two divisions, AOVO: Clinical Trials and AOVO: Infusion Clinic, one architecture, not two brands bolted together. The trials unit kept every year of credibility it had built; it just finally has a name that belongs to the work itself, not the parent clinic. The infusion clinic launched inside the same system from day one, backed by South Coast Renal wherever that trust needs to do work: with sponsors, referring GPs, patients, without either division being mistaken for the practice itself. The positioning ties both divisions to one line: Advancing care. Improving outcomes. Backed by an established name, not by the cold, clinical distance the sector defaults to. (See our South Coast Renal case study.)
Website & Compliance
One site, three audiences that want completely different things from the same pages: referring doctors checking eligibility, sponsors and CROs doing due diligence on a research site, and patients arriving with a referral in hand. SEO built in from the start rather than retrofitted, and every page of clinical and treatment content passed through a health advertising compliance review before launch. Marketing a clinical trials unit and an infusion clinic sits under real regulatory scrutiny, and the copy had to hold up to that as much as it needed to read well.
Photography
On-site photography for both divisions, shot to carry the new identity across the website rather than lean solely on stock imagery: the clinic, the people and the work, photographed like they belong to a brand rather than a directory listing.
Stationery
Letterhead and business cards carrying the new identity into the rooms a website never reaches: referral packs, investigator meetings with sponsors, a specialist’s hand.
Office Signage
Signage rolled out across both divisions carrying the new identity into the physical space: the first thing a patient, sponsor or referring GP sees walking through the door.
The Result
AOVO now gives two clinical services, an active trials unit and a newly launched infusion clinic, a name that stands on its own, still backed by South Coast Renal without being confused for it. Website in build. Photography, stationery and signage already out in the world.
