Less typing. More medicine.

CLIENT: Dict8ion – AI-Assisted Medical Transcription. Edify Medical.
SCOPE: Brand identity, logo, marketing, website, video production, app production management, App UI/UX, product testing, web app UI/UX design
STATUS: Live. Active. Scaling up.

THE CHALLENGE: Medical specialists dictate. Someone types it up. That someone is expensive, slow, and a bottleneck. Dict8ion fixes the loop – hybrid AI and human workflow that turns dictated patient letters into formatted, proofed correspondence in minutes. Not AI alone. Not humans alone. Both, in the right order.

Brand & Identity

Brand built to sit credibly in the Australian healthcare sector – trustworthy without being sterile, modern without being tech-bro. The name itself does the work. The identity had to match.

Website & Marketing

Positioned Dict8ion against a category that ranges from basic voice-to-text apps to expensive offshore transcription services. Neither is good enough. The marketing needed to make that case fast and clearly – healthcare professionals are busy, their attention is short, and they’ve heard software promises before.

App & Web App UI/UX

Production managed both the mobile app and the cloud-based web application. Designed the UI/UX for both – the mobile side is the recording interface for clinicians, the web app is where practice managers and admin staff work. Two different users, two different workflows, one coherent system. Tested across both.

Video

Produced video content to demonstrate the product in context – a workflow tool lives or dies on whether people can see themselves using it.

AI & Compliance

The AI implementation matters here and so does the compliance story. Hybrid human-in-the-loop workflow means accuracy is tracked and verifiable – not a black box. Data stored on ISO-certified Australian servers. Australian Privacy Act compliant. In healthcare, that’s not a footnote. It’s the brief.

The Result

Dict8ion is live, active, and growing. Built under Edify Medical – the same company behind EdifyMed – it represents a pivot from education to workflow, with the same founding principle: healthcare professionals deserve tools built specifically for how they work.

Can’t Teach an Old Dog New Tricks… You Don’t Have To!

We had a bit of fun with this one. The brief wrote itself — doctors who’ve dictated the same way for 30 years aren’t changing their habits for anyone. So we leaned into it. Used AI image generation to bring the old dog to life for social. Turns out he’s distinguished, slightly grumpy, and absolutely not giving up his dictaphone. The joke landed. The point was real.
